Best AL 80 Refractory Bricks Suppliers in India
Aluminum alloys play a crucial role in various industries due to their tailored properties and versatility. While the term “Aluminum 80%” might not directly correspond to a recognized alloy composition, it’s important to understand that aluminum alloys are typically blends of aluminum with other elements, each contributing to specific characteristics.
These alloys are designed to meet the diverse requirements of different applications, from aerospace engineering to automotive manufacturing.
Compliance with Indian Standards: AL 80 Refractory Bricks
The process of producing aluminum involves several key steps, culminating in the extraction of approximately 80% pure aluminum. It begins with bauxite mining, where bauxite ore, a mineral-rich rock containing aluminum oxide, is extracted from open-pit mines. This ore is then subjected to the Bayer process, in which it is crushed and ground into a fine powder. Subsequently, the ground bauxite is mixed with a hot concentrated solution of sodium hydroxide, dissolving the aluminum oxide while leaving behind impurities in the form of red mud.
The dissolved aluminum compounds are clarified, and aluminum hydroxide is precipitated using carbon dioxide. This precipitate is then heated to obtain alumina, a refined form of aluminum oxide. The alumina is then subjected to the Hall-Héroult process, where it is dissolved in molten cryolite within an electrolytic cell.
